- The task was to develop a b2c website platform that would be simple, easy-to-navigate and with powerful eCommerce functionality. Taking into account the fact that the targeted audience of a website is women we have paid special attention to graphical design and usability.
Concepts & Planning:
Net-Craft specialists performed a detailed review of our customer’s needs in terms of graphics, usability, and individual spa logins. During the graphical stage our designers worked with the client concerning brand identity and logo development.
The website preparation process included a detailed discussion of site specifications and the creation of an SRS (Site Requirements Specification) document before programming began. The resulting SRS document detailed all of the logical business processes of the website.
Net-Craft then began to develop unique graphical website concepts for client review. After client feedback and a few rounds of revisions a main graphical website theme was selected by the client.
User Interface Features:
Each element of the user interface was developed as simple as possible, but it performs all of the necessary functions. Thus, we have managed to achieve the simplicity of usage and save proper functionality. The main functional elements include:
- Offer search by several parameters
- Interactive map to navigate between salons
- Gift coupons, which can be presented to friends
- An informational blog where the site owner can make informational posts
- The Google Maps API has been integrated into the website - a user receives dynamic visual information about the location they are searching for
- The ability to create an account for saving the user's details such as username and password, billing information, booking history and alerts preferences, etc.
- The ability for the salon owners to manage their salons and offers.
Content Management System & Back-end Feature Set:
The Content Administration System (CMS) section of the Spa Time Now website has been developed to meet our client’s extensive requirements. The functionality was developed to edit various website sections including: user accounts, salons, treatments, and static pages. All applications are saved in the CMS that allows the administrator to access information left by a customer quickly. The administrator can also control incoming orders, when records are displayed, edit news, and more. All CMS functions are performed in a convenient and user friendly environment.
Project Summary:
As a result of the custom web development, graphic design, eCommerce integration and database development work performed by Net-Craft, an inviting and user-friendly web site has been developed to help spa salon owners attract new clients.
