United States Mobile Web Usage in 2009
Mobile web usage in the United Stated grew 110 percent and 148 percent worldwide as measured by growth in pageviews, according to a new report.
Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch drove much of this growth. In the U.S., Apple has a 65 percent market share of mobile Web access as of the end of 2009. Forty-one percent of that is from the iPhone, while the other twenty four percent comes from the iPod Touch, which has been growing rapidly as a mobile internet device.
With the addition of the new Apple iPad, we expect this growth to continue to climb. If your business does not have a mobile web strategy in place, please contact Net-Craft today!
